1. PCI compliance fee
$9.99 to $14.95/mo across major vendors PCI SSC · 2026-06-20. Charged whether or not you complete the annual PCI self-assessment.
2. Statement fee
$9 to $12/mo. Sometimes labelled "merchant statement" or "monthly minimum." Charged by the processor, not the POS vendor.
3. Batch fee
$0.10 to $0.25 per batch close. A daily close at $0.20 is $6/mo. Trivial individually, cumulative across the portfolio.
4. Chargeback fee
$15 to $25 per chargeback. Default chargeback rate at 0.15% of card volume implies one chargeback per ~$13K processed. At $80K monthly that is 6 chargebacks at $20 = $120/mo on a bad month.
5. Toast Volume Subscription Fee

6. Clover early termination

7. Third-party marketplace commission
